Error message

An error occurred during the import of the alias &(1:). The alias has not been created.

Parameters

&(1:) - The alias ID that was not created.

Description

The import file includes a reference to an alias. While trying to create this alias, an error occurred. The alias has not been created.

Action

One possible reason could be that the alias was created by another user simultaneously. This is not a very probable situation, but it can occur. Check whether an alias with the specified ID exists in the site.

Another possibility is that there is a system error, such errors might be available in a log.

iSeries: Check the OS/400 joblog for the application service job

Windows/iSeries: Check the applicationservices.log file in the Logs folder and the OS/400 joblog for the iSeries job servicing each of the windows application services.

Windows: Check the applicationservices.log file in the Logs folder.

Java: Check the error log for the servlet engine.
